Folks, things just keep getting better. The european building process is absolutely fascinating for someone used to the traditional American “stick” frame style homes.
So while last week the framing was going up for the ceiling foundation, this week (yesterday, actually!) the ceiling was poured as you can see. I still have no idea how this can possibly work, but apparently it does. So the supports will remain in place for the next few weeks while the concrete dries.
We are now only 24 days from the date that the actual house will start going up. (October 12)
Looking into the garage, you can see the full support system for the basement
ceiling/main floor of the house. You can see above the frame that held the
concrete in place.
And so! Until next week!
