This week we have made a lot of progress, which is great because the house
building starts in only 2.5 weeks!
The first photo looks fairly the same as before, but a lot of changes are
going on around the perimeter.
The big pile of dirt in front of the house is gone and it has started to be
leveled out in preparation for the stairs to be built up to the main level.
To the right of the garage, you can see the foundation for the stairs that
will lead up to the back of the house.
You can also see that they have continued to fill in the dirt that needs to
go back around the foundation.
To the left of the garage you can see the foundations for the stairs that will
go up to the front door of the house.
You can see here that more insulation, isolation and waterproofing has been
added and the ground in front of the house is being leveled out.
A much better view of the insulation and where the stairs are going to be.
They will be L-shaped, with the entrance at the side of the driveway and the
front door will be above the bucket of the tractor.
A closer view of the dirt that is being filled in and all of the insulation and
isolation being used around the foundation of the basement.
Lots of progress on getting the insulation nicely put together.
They use sealant between the pieces of insulation to protect against leaks.
Another view of the side of the house and you can see where the stairs will be
allowing for easy movement between the garage and backyard.
Another view of where the stairs to the main floor will go in the basement.
This work is on target to start this weekend or early next week.
