Week 17: Midweek

Well, a lot more progress has been made! You can see from here that the roof is almost completely done with the 3 front skylights. The right most is for my sewing room. The left two are above the stairs and landing upstairs. You can also see that the gaps in the exterior insulation have started to be filled and, for example, all the open spaces between the first and second floors have been filled. The chimney has also been capped and ready to go and the gutters have been installed and are attached to the downspouts.

The back view. You can see a tiny patch of roof that still needs tiles but otherwise, it’s almost done. More gutters and another skylight for the guest bedroom.

This view is from the base of the stairs on the main floor to the second floor. There will be stairs and some railings upstairs, but you’ll still be able to see the skylights which will increase the natural light coming downstairs.
