Week 19: 31 October - 6 November

Nov. 6, 2022

The highlight of this week is that the plumbing and central vac piping is done.
Next week they start running all of the electric.

All of the water lines are insulated and go down to the basement, as well as a waste pipe.

Here’s a view of the same location above. The plumbers are done and they have left everything incredibly tidy and organised. From this view, on the far left, the dark hole is the future stairwell to upstairs. Next to that in the upper left is the entryway to the house. In the center is the downstairs bathroom and on the far right is the kitchen.

Here’s another view of the kitchen. You can see where the kitchen sink and dishwasher will be on the wall under the window where the plumbing is. The pipe going into the corner is for the outside faucet.
The stairs to the basement and the white piping is the central vac line.
This is in the entryway and I think the white box will ultimately be the main electric box.
Also the entryway, with the front door on the left. The insulated pipe is for the exterior faucet.
Stano’s office and the grey pipe is for chimney condensation. This drains down to more pipes in the garage.
Plumbing for the downstairs bathroom sink is done…
…and also the downstairs shower.
The waste pipe from the upstairs toilet that was visible last week is now insulated.
The pipes for the upstairs radiators are finished and they are all capped off for the moment.
Another view of the landing and its radiator tubing and central vac.
The plumbing for the upstairs bathroom is done and you can see here the radiator pipes in the wall on the left and the location of our future sink.
Our shower is plumbed and the second small radiator is as well.
And finally, the hot and cold water for the bathtub is complete.
The upstairs bathroom was the last thing to finish. The toilet flushing mechanism is what you see on the back wall and the pipes on the left are for the sink.
Our guest bedroom with its radiator pipes.
My office/sewing room is ready for its radiator, too.
And our bedroom and its radiator and view! While the current view is piles of dirt, we are excited that when we’re done we’ll have a nice view of the backyard and orchard.
